Coronavirus Pandemic in the EU - Fundamental Rights Implications - Bulletin 2 by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)

The bulletin considers the impact of Covid-19 on fundamental rights in important areas of daily life

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) has published its second bulletin on how the Coronavirus pandemic affects fundamental rights, outlining some of the measures that EU Member States have adopted to halt the spread of COVID-19 in the period between 21 March and 30 April 2020.

The report faces some criminal justice issues, such as the effects of the emergency on the criminal trial (§2.4), the measures to reduce the prison population (§3.3) and the penalties for persons violating quarantine laws (§2.1.2).
